IIDT



The Government of Andhra Pradesh envisioned the establishment of the International Institute of Digital Technologies (IIDT) at Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, to pre-empt this increasing gap in skill sets as the new digital economy grows.

IIDT is India’s 1st premier digital technology institute that will nurture various personas:
Professionals with deep understanding of digital technologies and an ability to develop products and services.

Experts who build Centers of Excellence in Digital Technologies.
Entrepreneurs who would like to create wealth in areas of digitization through real life problem solving.

IIDT is an Institute set up under APEITA (Andhra Pradesh Electronics & IT Agency)

*With the leap frogging of IT services into to Digital Services, lack of trained manpower is a major challenge and IIDT is proposed to fill the need in the shortest possible time through modern “outcome based” teaching methodology by industry veterans. When it is fully operational it will become the first virtual university in the country.

IIT

In pursuance of the recommendations of the Site Selection Committee (SSC) and with the approval of the competent authority, it was decided to set up IIT Tirupati’s permanent campus at a site in Merlapaka Village, Yerpedu (Mandal), Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh in accordance with Section 93 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to provide land to an extent of about 530 acres for the development of the permanent campus. This land is located on the Yerpedu–Venkatagiri road, 22 km from Tirupati town and 14 km from the airport. It has a scenic mountain backdrop. The permanent campus is expected to be operational by 2019.
