  Contract manufacturer Dixon Technologies makes consumer electronics, home appliances, washing machines, mobile phones and lighting products for a number of leading brands in India. The company is coming up with an IPO and plans to set up a new plant for LED televisions and LED bulbs at Tirupati.  The largest homegrown design-focused and solutions company, commenced manufacturing of CCTVs and DVRs on 2nd January 2018. The products will be manufactured at Company’s manufacturing facility situated in Tirupati, India.

Karbonn joins the illustrious list of ‘Make In India’ initiative. The leading domestic handset vendor will invest Rs 200 cr to set up a manufacturing plant with an extent of land about 15.28 Acres at the new electronics hub in Tirupati. This hub will also have facility for other brands such as Lava, Celkon and Micromax. They are setting up an integrated facility at Tirupati. The plant, which will be operational by September (2020), will have a manufacturing capacity of 500,000 units a month.

Celkon is a mobile phone manufacturing company in India based in Hyderabad. It is involved in the development of mobile phones, Tablet PCs, and wireless technologies. Currently the Managing Director of Celkon Mobiles is Y.Guru. Celkon is India’s sixth-largest mobile handsets company. Initially its mobiles and tablet PCs was assembled in Taiwan and China. Later the company established its own state of the art manufacturing facility in the Telangana state of India.

International plans to start full-fledged manufacturing from its upcoming bigger plants in  Tirupati,.  The company will invest Rs 500 crore to set up the Tirupati  manufacturing unit.                                                                            The purpose of setting up a plant alongside other vendors is to have common component suppliers so that economy of scale can be reached, besides having control over quality.

Indian Institute of Science Education and Research, Tirupati commonly referred as IISER Tirupati, is a public research and education institute in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh, India. It is being established by the Ministry of Human Resource Development this year, in order to promote Higher Scientific Learning and Research as well as Scientific Exploration at the Undergraduate and Postgraduate levels of education and to create Scientists and Academicians of the highest quality. Approximate cost of the project is about 700 crs.Time period -5 years-starting date 28th March 2015. And located at Srinivasapuram,Panguru & Chindepalli(v),Yerpedu (m).

In pursuance of the recommendations of the Site Selection Committee (SSC) and with the approval of the competent authority, it was decided to set up IIT Tirupati’s permanent campus at a site in Merlapaka Village, Yerpedu (Mandal), Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh in accordance with Section 93 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to provide land to an extent of about 530 acres for the development of the permanent campus. This land is located on the Yerpedu–Venkatagiri road, 22 km from Tirupati town and 14 km from the airport. It has a scenic mountain backdrop. The permanent campus is expected to be operational by 2019.

Tirupati Airport  is a public international airport located at Renigunta, a part of Tirupati in the state of Andhra Pradesh, India. The airport is located 16 km away from north Tirupati and 39 km  from Venkateswara swamy Temple, Tirumala. Among the total of 77 projects, already four projects have been completed at a cost of Rs 13.26 crore and Rs 108.08 crore funds have been allocated for execution of five new projects. At the tendering stage, there are five projects with an estimated cost of Rs 24.5 crore. Another 28 projects with an estimated cost of Rs 1,465.11 crore are under final approval of designing. In all, works of 42 projects worth Rs 1,610 crore are progressing now. When compared to 100 Smart City Projects in the country, Tirupati has stood top in execution, grounded and completed projects.
