Electronic Manufacturing Clusters (EMC) scheme is to provide world class Infrastructure for attracting Investments in the Electronics Systems Design and Manufacturing ( ESDM ).
 As per 29th January , 2017 cited that, Electronics Manufacturing Cluster Scheme from the Ministry for setting up of Greenfield Electronics Manufacturing Cluster at Renigunta and Yerpedu Mandal, Chittoor Dist..Near Garuda International Airport.
It has been directed to convey the approval of the competent authority for setting up of Greenfield Electronic Mnaufacturing Cluster over an area of 113.27 acres at Renigunta and Yerpedu Mandal with a project of Rs. 104,40,66,458/-( Rs.One Hundred Four Crore Fourty Lakh Sixty Six Thousand Four Hundred Fifty Eight Only) excluding land cost. Grant - in – aid of Rs. 46,52,96,066 /- ( Rs. Fourty Six Crore Fifty Two Lakh Ninety Six Thousand Sixty Six Only).
Are of EMC 1 : 113.27 acres 
                           * Processing area – 96.28 acres (85%)
                           * Non-processing area – 16.99 acres (15%)

EMC 2: As per 26.06.2017 has been proposed for the Development of Electronic Hardware Manufacturing Cluster ( EHMC) near Vikruthamala (V), Yerpedu (M), Chittoor Dist, AP.
The capital cost of the project is Rs. 288.26 Crores. The total site area of the project is 501.4 Acres.
Industries proposed in EHMC are Electronic Product Manufacturing Zone, Electronic Components Manufacturing Zone, Semiconductor Designing and R&D Zone.

EMC 2 : Processing area : 466.6 Acres (93.06%)
                 Non-Processing area : 34.80 Acres ( 6.94%).

In pursuance of the recommendations of the Site Selection Committee (SSC) and with the approval of the competent authority, it was decided to set up IIT Tirupati’s permanent campus at a site in Merlapaka Village, Yerpedu (Mandal), Chittoor District, Andhra Pradesh in accordance with Section 93 of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014. The Government of Andhra Pradesh has proposed to provide land to an extent of about 530 acres for the development of the permanent campus. This land is located on the Yerpedu–Venkatagiri road, 22 km from Tirupati town and 14 km from the airport. It has a scenic mountain backdrop. The permanent campus is expected to be operational by 2019.
